In the Peak District

Last December Chris invited me up to spend a few days with his family in the Peak District. It was that nothing time between Christmas and New Years where you don’t have work and there’s a lull after the buildup for the holidays.

We wandered around Higger Tor and Stanage Edge, and generally chatted about life. The photos don’t show just how bitterly cold it was, especially when the wind picked up.

The hills aren’t too high in the Peaks, but you do get some lovely views, particularly at sunset.

With a good forecast the night before, we got up to shoot sunrise.
